The Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai (MNLU Mumbai) was the 1st NLU to be established in the state of Maharashtra. In the 7 short years since its inception in October 2014, MNLU has earned an unprecedented repute for a new university in the field of Legal Education. Through its modern methods of teaching, research-oriented study, focussed mentorship, and guidance to each student, the University has been shattering glass ceilings.
Situated in the financial capital of the country, the University has been able to leverage its strategic locational advantage and carved out a niche for itself in the field of Corporate and Commercial Law, Banking Laws and Arbitration Law. Students reap the benefits of prime location and that is manifested in the internships they secure with leading law firms & Practitioners in the High Court.
The motto of the University is in sync with the demands of the contemporary day and age, where lawyers need to be compassionate and well-rounded individuals. In furtherance of achieving these goals, the University has set up specialized Centers of Excellence.
The University prides itself on giving special importance to its students and providing them diverse opportunities to exhibit their talents and skills. In such a short span of time, students of MNLU Mumbai have made a name for themselves in almost every field in various competitions. Both at National and International level. Be it ADR, or Moot Courts, no challenge has proved too steep for our students. Few of the ADR specific achievements are mentioned below-
The University has made some noteworthy strides in the field of Alternate Dispute Resolution such as Represented India at ICC International Commercial Mediation Competition, Paris, 2019 as well as at International Negotiation Competition, Cardiff, 2018. Furthermore, our students have been honoured with a plethora of accolades in awards at several other National and International Mediation, Negotiation and Client Counselling Competitions.
